In her new book, Saudi America: the Truth about Fracking and how its changing the world, Bethany McLean warns that the next GFC could be set off by the financial instability in the fracking industry.

The industry has a very poor track record when it comes to making money, yet some on Wall Street are happy to continue funnelling capital into fracking firms.
